How to Get Ripped Fast

Every man and their dad would love to get ripped fast. That’s without question. The question is you willing to do what it takes to achieve that goal? This article is dedicated to those who want the straightforward answer towards getting a natural, ripped physique (i.e., without using steroids or other muscle-enhancing drugs) worthy of being in any fitness magazine. With that said, here are 5 methods that will get you ripped fast:

Perform pushups throughout the day

Have you ever wondered how penitentiary inmates get so muscular and ripped? It certainly isn’t because of the prison food! It is mainly because they do pushups throughout the day. From military personnel to prisoners, pushups are the solid foundation of an effective exercise regimen towards building a ripped physique. Why is that? Because it builds muscle (particular in your arms, chests and shoulders) while elevating your metabolism! In case you didn’t know, adding muscle mass elevates your metabolism. Aim to do a certain amount of reps before the end of the day.

Do pull-ups throughout the day

While pushups throughout the day is not too difficult, pull-ups are extremely tough to do during a course of a day! But if you desire a wide, muscular back, you won’t mind. Since your back is one of the biggest muscles on your body, doing an exercise that fully engages it such as pull-ups will boost your metabolism. In addition to your back, it engages the arms and abs muscles; thus, multiplying the effects it has on your metabolism! To do pull-ups throughout the day, invest in a home pull-up bar.

Lift heavy weights at least 2x per week

While pushups and other bodyweight exercises are great, it comes a point in time where you need to lift heavy weights to further challenge your muscles and boost your metabolism for days! When you lift a weight that is moderately heavy, to repair microscopic tears in the muscles (i.e. the soreness you feel), your metabolism is elevated up to 39 hours. So that is about 2 days that you will burn calories at a higher rate off of one 45 to 60 minute weight lifting session. You don’t need to know much about economics to realize that is one hell of a return on investment!

Drink water throughout the day

Water can speed up your metabolism big-time! If you sit and think, it makes sense as to why it does. For one, our bodies are made up of approximately 60%of the colorless substance, so it makes sense that drinking it will enhance our metabolism. But how does it raise your metabolism? A study tested drinking water and energy expenditures on healthy, normal weight patients. They discovered that after drinking one bottle of water, participants’ metabolic rates increased over 30% for about 40 minutes. In case math isn’t your forte, a 30% increase in metabolism is a good thing! Aim to drink at least 3 liters of water per day.

Get at least 8 hours of sleep

When was the last time you consistently got 8 hours of sleep for a whole week? If that was when George Bush was president, then it is time to step up your sleep game. Too many people take sleep for granted; thus, causing them to gain fat and develop a slow metabolism. How is that? Reports show that when you are sleep deprived, you tend to feel hungry even when you are full and lead to an increase in fat storage. In addition, you tend to make poorer food choice by opting for processed foods (e.g. donuts, chips, cookies, etc.) instead of whole, natural foods. So if you’re serious about getting ripped, then get some quality shut-eye.
